Our Story

Passing On Tradition

Situated at the western base of the Tetons, Cartworth Family Farm strives to pass on homesteading skills learned by the older generations in our family tree. We focus on teaching self-sufficiency through building skills in planting, harvesting, and preserving. On just two acres, we teach our blended family how to cultivate new seedlings, raise, transplant, and cook from scratch. Just like seedlings, each member of our family needs nurturing and cultivation--and the best way to cultivate is by working side by side in hands-on ways. We focus on living in a self-sufficiently, whether that means gleaning potatoes in the field, storing onions and carrots throughout the winter, gathering honey from bees, or raising chickens for eggs.
